RushCard is a prepaid debit card product created by Russell Simmons in 2003 to help lift millions of Americans up and out to a more financially secure and free future. Green Dot acquired RushCard in 2017.

Goal

Elevate the perception of RushCard. Create content rooted in the affinities of our cardholders. Build a social community that mirrors the voices and faces of the customers and builds loyalty and satisfaction.

Approach

Affirm our customers that they can achieve the lifestyle they set out to do. Show an aspirational lifestyle that is still attainable. Demonstrate respect for the brand’s voice and identity. Stay attuned to daily events and topics that are appropriate to the community. Provide a series of financial tips for customers to reach financial freedom.
